Big slingshot
« on: May 21, 2013, 11:10:54 AM »
So I am  going  to construct a big slingshot so I can shoot  my weight leader and bait in the middle of the river for stergeon. Im going to use an old  boot and cut it up so i can put the weight snd bait in. im thinking about using  that strechy tubing and 2 metal rods or metal tubing or something. any ideas?

I almost guarantee you I could sling a piece of lead farther with a fishing rod than trying to sling shot it...

What about just having loops that slide over your boots? Then just sit down pull back and let it fly.

Umm.....do yourself a favor and get a kayak  :chuckle: You could use a kayak in many different places, and from the looks of how much they spent, you won't be spending much more..........or have fun doing whatever :chuckle:

well im  going  to drive 2 poles into  the ground get some type of elastic band and use the leather from a pair of old boots to make the pouch. i got the boots i can use alder poles and I can get the sling shot tube for 12 cents a foot. I figure 3 feet  is enough tubing for each side.
