You guys know any good spots up here in skagit county? Never done it myself and kinda want to get into it. Maybe some good advice for a beginner to?

Howdy, if you haven't already start at the beginning of this thread and read carefully. There is some real good Intel if not some of the best you'll find on the net. Good luck and keep us Crayfishers in the loop!!!!!

So any suggestions for places to try down in the Vancouver area?

I'm thinking maybe Lacamas Lake. Main issue with Columbia River and Vancouver Lake area is simply pollution. Not sure how comfortable I'd be eating stuff out of either...

I'm ready for round 2!! Got a few more pots and a pontoon boat to venture further down river. We should do something for the most bugs by weight too.

Just about any stream, river or lake/pond with a stream in and out will have some population of craws

Was talking to a fish biologist last night, he indicated he wouldn't think of eating anything out of the Columbia (down here), Vancouver Lake and tribs, or Lacamas Lake. Fortunately, he did give me a few ideas.

Gonna make a few of these up this weekend with 1/2" hardware cloth. Hope I can get something here in King County. Might give the traps a try out east if I tag along with another HuntWA member on a last chance at a spring Tom. Any recommendations on a good size opening for the funnels? Was thinking like 2" diameter maybe 3"?

Hello everyone.  I am back to win round 2.  I already had a great catch with some big ones.  Just so you don't think they are pets I cooked them before I measured them.
