Big Bear (News at 11:00)
« on: November 03, 2008, 08:25:42 PM »
Just saw a commercial, channel 5 news showing a big bear someone got at 11:00. There must be something to the story, why would they be showing it?

I saw a bit on the evening news version.  The big news was that it was so big, especially for the area.  The hunter's face was not clear/cut off in the picture.

Just watched it from nose to tail the bear measured 6' 9" and weighed 570lbs. Shot out by seabeck.

Saw the blurb on the news - tastefully done by your friend.  He made Hunters look good.  Showed his freezer full of meat stating it would feed his family for a year.  Great PR for hunting in times of a slowing economy.  Feed your family - go hunting.  Kudos to your buddy all around.  Nicely done!

I would love to get his skull scored.  I have a friend who's a B&C Measurer in Auburn, or Jay St. Charles can do it.

The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
