Weatherby 1st. If I could have voted twice I would have voted Sako as my second choice. I shot a Mark V syn stainless in .300 WBY topped witha stainless 3x9 Leupold for years. The wife shoots a .270 Wby Mark V syn, stainless topped with the same Leupold and both of those shootin irons are TACK DRIVERS!! I shoot a Sako TRGS chambered in Lazzeroni 7.82 Warbird now. It's a great rifle also. Nothing to complain about it. Altough it deffinately SNORTS a bit more than my Wby did when you squeeze the trigger. :o

Should of had a choice for "ALL"... it doesn't matter to me as long as it spits high speed projectiles out one end. It is just a tool like a hammer or saw. You either know how to use them or you don't.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.
He who shed blood with me shall forever be my brother.

They seem to shoot better if they are Made In the U.S.A.  I can't stand the foreign stuff.

No clear favorite but tend to lean to CZ. I have a Remington 700 & 66, Browning A Bolt SS, Winchester 70, Marlin GG, 2 H&R's, Custom Varmet FN Mauser action and three CZ's calibers from .17 HMR - 45-70, Now if we talk shotguns Beretta is a hands down winner in target guns, Baikal is great for Saltwater because they are cheap and if you have motor problems you can use them as a paddle. For upland birds and freshwater ducks I like Remington's (1100 & 11-87) and LC Smith. You will note I did not list any Bennelli's when they work they are fine but I've seen way to many DIF (Dead in Field) and the recoil is a lot stiffer then Beretta and Remington auto's  :twocents:

Just an additional note; My Browning A Bolt SS does jam/lock up on me here is the situation if I push the bolt up on perpose or snagged on a branch or what ever the safety will not disengage without slapping the bolt down. This did cost me a nice 4X4 buck in Canada in 2005.  :bash:

Real partial to A-bolts.  I have A SS Stalker and I used the action on a custom gun.  Sako pretty darn good too as is Rem.

"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

Loving life in the Great Northwest one day at a time.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.
