Ruger M77 MKII. Works great, looks nice, hits where I aim it. Quite fond of the Marlin 336s and the Guide Guns.

I am a A-bolt snob, but the Savages look nice too, never used on though...

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

Sp far the only rifle I've not been happy with was a Winchester, just wouldn't ever shoot. Have a couple Rugers, a Remmy, a Mauser and a Browning, a Marlin and an H&R. Just can't say I like anyone one of them better than the other. But they all have their sepcific application.

Savage is the sentimental favorite seeing as how I have the one Grandpa fed the family with 65+years ago.
Pretty happy with the Savage MK II I just brought home and the Remington 700 I just bought although the last round hangs up if not loaded carefully.
My Marlins, the 1895 LTD III is a beauty. The 1895gs I used to have was too after some interior work..tool marks.
The last Winchester 94 I bought was a P.O.S. Make that the last two. I returned the first one an hour after I got it home when pieces started falling out. Someone stripped out some screws and tried to put in bigger ones. The one I got back hadn't been fully deburred. Both were the Composite-Stainless model. The Model 94 Legacy I bought in 98? was another Beauty. almost kept it for myself, Xmas gift...
I'd like to buy something from every good Gun maker.

My 2 main battle rifles (.243 & .300 Win Mag) are both A-Bolts. Have had both for more than 20 years.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
