Dad knocked over his first Elk...(Pic Addes)
« on: October 10, 2008, 09:32:16 PM »
Its been a long time coming, my dad has been hunting them for a lot of years and killed one opening day today in Idaho....5 point I guess...No pics yet..will get them soon. I'm really proud. The only thing around down here he hasn't killed now is a Big Horn Sheep...

Thanks all...I haven't even talked to him yet, I think they had a big day packing it out. I doubt it was far from the road, but at 68 and not in the very best shape...getting that dude to the truck will be a JOB!

Pics will come in the next couple days I'm sure!

Somebody had to go pick up a new puppy compliments to your dad.  Now i get to put up with two that snore louder than me. :chuckle:  Congratulations to your Dad.   Thats awesome.  I hope he had an easy pack.  I was in the hood, now I feel bad I didn't swing in.  I drove by at about 80 trying to get up to some moose before dark.  Thats awesome.  Now is he going to go home before your mother mounts him on the wall?  Thats how to retire right there.
