vintage toyota land cruisers
« on: June 02, 2013, 08:21:15 PM »
who has one? I drove what is most likely the best looking and kept up 1972 toyota land cruiser in south cental washington.  My neighbor passed 2 years ago and his wife was never allowed to drive it so I drive it every month or so. He was a Dr. and in his spare time used to drive it on mt clemans when roads were all over the place to shoot chukars while sitting on the bumper.

I just smile like a young kid with cotton candy at the fair when driving that thing.  the people at the bars were definetely interested in the rig when I drove by.

His widow is keeping it in the family and sold it to a nephew in nevada.

I have a 73 that I bought a couple months ago for a deal I could not pass up.  I only drove it once and now it is in the garage for a full restore.  It was not safe in its current condition when I got it due to body mounts and rust.  I can not wait to get it back on the road..

I had a '67 with a Chevy 350 in it on 38's. It was a beast off road but not pleasant to look at.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
