Roosters
« on: May 27, 2013, 02:11:56 PM »
The other day my son saw a pretty good fight between two roosters in the edge of one of our pea fields. Today I had my camera with me and thought I was going to get the chance to get some fighting pics, but after dancing around each other a little and one half-hearted jump, they just went back to eating.  Nothing too exciting, but they are gorgeous birds.

Great pictures, sorry they were not really getting after it when you were taking pictures. Gotta love knowing they are around.

I love a good pheasant fight!

I had a couple run out in the middle of the road right in front of my truck once. They didn't seem to care about me sitting there, they just duked it out right in front of me.

Jimbo: "That's right, Stanley. Animals are much easier to shoot in the morning."

Great to see wild birds. Hoping the spring is a good one for hatching.
Of course, can't do anything about clean farming, insecticides, etc.
