Looking for a fall bear partner.
« on: May 28, 2013, 07:00:19 PM »
With the fall season approaching I figured I'd go ahead start throwing out some feelers. I'm fairly new to Wa state, and big game hunting. I chase ducks for the most part. But I want to change that. I want to get a bear this fall. I went one day last year, embarrasing... And ill be the first to admit I know almost nil about big game in general. I'm looking for somebody who's willing to teach, and point me in the right direction. I don't expect a handout. I want to earn my keep. I'm more than willing to work to learn. I hope to meet and know some of you folks and gleen what information I can. Thanks for reading.

I would be happy to show you a few local spots. There is going to be a hunt - wa, BBQ in your neck of the woods soon. See if you can make it. I can show you a few honyholes on the map and work permitting in person.

If you want to see bear, I could say drive around hitting the garage sales east of where we live.  Seems like every year I see 2 or 3 just doing that.  Plenty of yogi's in the area.

Last one I saw was crossing the road out near one of your haunts.

BTW, that little one you got with the collar.  Didn't you have to call the numbers in to see if the tranquilizer was out of it's system enough to eat?  Wasn't he previously trapped because he was eating garbage?

Nope his last meal was black berries.  I watched him eat them right before I chased him up a tree and blasted him.
