I have seen that before and I heard they go out on the dam to lick the salt and minerals off the stones. Pretty nuts!

That's pretty impressive!  I guess a salt lick on flat ground would do the trick if you were hunting them.

I have seen those photos before but it still amazes me every time I see them again. I read the same thing about licking the salt from the stones...

I can't help but wonder who waits near the bottom to "claim" the ones that fall  :dunno:
