Well, the permits have been secured, and vacation approved. I am headed to the West Coast Vancouver Island trail in July. Time to pick up the pace on my stair running. Going to get me into great shape for hunting season!

Very cool! What guide sevice? How much ball park is your trip gona cost? U bear hunting? I want to go bear hunt there bad...

No guide service, no hunting. This is strickly a backpack trip. Less than $200 for the permits and shuttle service. The West Coast Trail is a 47 mile hike along the coast of Vancouver Island. It has been called "the most arduous hike in North America" by backpacker magazine. (Their opinion, not mine). I have been doing a hike every weekend to condition my body to the trail. Here is a photo from last weekends hike to the summit of Mt Pilchuck
