More Bang for your buck!
« on: October 12, 2008, 09:44:34 PM »
My hunting buddy, took this dandy at daylight opening morning, I swear half of Grant county was after this thing! We had people trespassing all over the place trying to get him, one guy and his son came over the fence a 1/4 mile and dropped a 4 pt. right before we could see it >:(
This crap burns me! So we keep hunting and my buddys son make an incredible 200 yard shot on this nice whitetail just as we get our scopes on him, we were real excited for him!
Later that night at dark we had 4 whitetail bucks come right by us, I got a shot and connected, we had a great time!

Finnman - You just nailed a hat trick on success photos!  No blood, natural poses, great lighting, and great composition.  Love your posts!

congrats finn, on your success and good pics.
it's wierd that middle yt buck is lacking g-1's...nice buck either way, and i dig the character of that muley.

Impossible to say for sure without seeing the metatarsal glands, but I have a hunch that one's a hybrid.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Nice opening day success!

We had problems with tresspassers also. Fortunatly I got my six year old boy to kick it in high gear and we got to the spot first. But alas no deer.

Great job Finnman. Your buddies muley is very nice. If you think Grant county was bad, you should have seen western Whitman county. I have a question Im going to post in referance to this in a few minutes, . But congrats on your sucess.

Congrats!

I was kind of thinking the same thing except the guy is long-arming the buck like crazy. Why long-arm a stud like that?

Your right, the buck is a stud! When we took the pics there was a grass pile he sat on behind the buck, convenient I guess, my buddy is 6'6" 270lbs.! If you think the buck is big because he's LONG ARMING it, your wrong! The buck was huge, 26" wide and big bodied! This is the biggest we have gotten in 8 years on this property.
