Saying Goodbye
« on: May 30, 2013, 04:13:30 PM »
I got news yesterday that my memaw who lives in meeker, ok had to put down her best friend, her horse Starr. He was a Tennessee walker she.s owned for 23 of his 29 years. She told me a month or so ago that she couldn't keep weight on him this year and then two days ago he was showing signs of colic. She went out yesterday to find him laying down at the gate unable to get up. She went out to him and kissed on him and asked him to get up for her one last time. The vet was there and they walked the old man down to a gully and put him down. She said she just knew from his eyes it ws time. Someday she'll be buried along side of him per her wishes.

Anyways, I've been searching and searching for a good poem or quote about a cowboy/cowgirl and their horse. They rode thousands of miles together and I want to have a picture framed up with the quote/saying/poem included somehow. If anyone knows of a good one let me know.

Sorry to hear about her loss.
It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...

Sarcasm: The ability to insult stupid people without them realizing it.

My level of sarcasm depends on your level of stupidity...

Sarcasm makes smart people laugh and stupid people mad.
