I can't remember the last time I saw daylight through a deer (white blotches are the background showing through, which sreams Photoshop Layering and Transparency set too high. Interesting image though. Well placed arrow in any case!

I think it is real. If your camera is shooting for existing day light (slow shutter speed) and you use a flash also, that is the result you will get.

Sorry, but it's phony. Look at the deers ears, no way would they lie down like that. They only lay like that when their dead. Too much blood also for an impact shot. That deers photo was taken with it laying dead on the ground then laid on top of the cam photo. P.S. yeah, I'm a CSI. LOL

What If....? Maybe that deer on the left triggered the camera and the shutter was open when this deer came into the field of view. Is it possible that the background was burned into the image and the deer then came in? Might a deer lay its ears back when it jumps? And is that blood drops flying off of the animal in mid air?
That's a lot of what ifs. A good photoshop artist would have caught that transparency thing...may not be a good one though. Still a cool picture.

the thing that seals it being fake with me is that, with most bows now days shooting in the 240-300fps range the shutter speed on the camera would have to be REALLY fast to catch the arrow like that with no blur.

Sorry, but there are a bunch of things wrong with this image to be real. Think about the speed in which an arrow passes through a deer. A deer hit with an arrow in that location would most likey pass through without hesitation. The deer may indeed jump like that form the hit, but all that blood would not be there...yet. And the arrow would have been stuck in the ground well before the deer could jump that high into the air to begin with. How could a trailcam capture all this dynamic action with exact clarity? It can't. And it made the deer see-though to boot...P H O T O S H O P

I'm calling fake.
I haven't shot a lot of game with a bow and arrow but what I have shot I have never seen bleed like that out the entrance wound.
Cool picture all the same
