Nikon Monarch vs Bushnell Elite
« on: June 05, 2013, 09:13:04 PM »
I know this has probably been argued ad nauseam, but would you rather go with a Nikon Monarch or Bushnell Elite (any of the series) in around a 3x9x40mm?

Which do you prefer and any experiences are welcomed. The Nikon BDC is intriguing...

Thanks!

I got the Nikon Buckmaster and then bought the turret for about $110 for my 300 WSM. With the turrets I can shoot out to 640 yds if need be; but that probably won't be in the equation. I've practiced and feel good at 600 yds. I looked at the BDC but didn't like the round circles for the aiming points instead of the crosshairs. The Bushnell Elite is a great scope too.

Monarch vs 4200 Elite is a tough choice.
I have 2 Monarchs and a pair of Nikon Premier LX 'nocs and love them.
The Rainguard feature on the Bushnells is appealing.
If it's the 3200, no contest....Nikon.

If you hunt in the rain, go with the Bushnell.
