Good opening week-end
« on: October 13, 2008, 01:06:47 PM »
:)We hunted the colville area and got 4 whitetail bucks all 5 points. One was 20and three quarters and one 20 inches the other two were 18 and really nice bucks. We saw lots of smaller bucks and not very many hunters. My camera broke but I bought a new one today so will post some pictures. We also got a small bear. We got to see our friends 49 degree moose and it was big. He called in several others before he shot his. Heading to montana saturday for antelope around miles city but they have storm warnings and snow but hope it melts we were looking forward to praire dog hunting. Had excitement at the dock in westport this morning the marina was full of humbolt squid that are about 4 feet long and about 40 pounds. People were netting them with salmon nets but in the low tide they were spawning on the rocks. Some of the crabbers were getting them for crab bait this winter and freezing them at the new cold storage plant. They stayed in the marina for several days 3 years ago.
