A seven day season just doesn’t cut it, can’t wait to hunt again.

You should give archery a try.  Hunt all of September, and from the middle of Nov. until the middle of Dec.  Two months instead of 7 days!

compared to the gas, the out of state license is nothing... :chuckle:  Though Idaho had gas for 2.90 this weekend and I heard it was 2.60 down south.

The crazy thing is that we are excited that the price it below $3 a gallon.  I am glad it's going down, but won't be happy until it's a dollar something a gallon again....if it ever gets back there.

I agree totally CP, 30 days for archery, 20 for modern rifle, and we get 7.  I love hunting with my BP rifle, but man, I have serious tag choice remorse right now.  It turns deer season into a single event, not a real season of the year.

I'm telling you guys, you're really missing out. Your season can be all year long if you go get yourselves a good camera and a couple good lenses. Sure you can't kill something, besides brain cells at the camp or motel, but you would be surprised how gratifying it is to find that big buck or bull and get a good quality picture of him. The only difference is your not sending an arrow or bullet his way. You can even poach if you want, that is you can take pics of more than one each year. ;) You still have to use all your hunting skills, and it may even be good practice for some of you :chuckle: :twocents: Besides, we all love seeing the pics throughout the year when we are waiting for the next season.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

Research, Scouting, Hunting is more then a 7 day season for me...although this is my first year hunting and deciding I am going to head out for the late season just a week ago. I have start researching, will get and do a two or three scouting trips, then do a 3 day hunt.

In my opinion the sport should be a long year thing, even if you only get 3 days to hunt, preperation makes or breaks your season not the outcome.

I too love to muzzy hunt, but the deer season sucks and the time of year over here is horrible to hunt big whitetails. If it was longer or better dates I would, but till then I bow hunt
