Don't laugh at me.. I really don't know anything about calls. Is it usually a bow-hunting thing or do rifle hunters use these too?

Even though they aren't in the rut during gun season, they are still very curious and social animal.  I have cow called in bulls every gun season.  I have even stopped them running at 600+ yards and then brought them to me as close as less than 20 yards.  My brother and nephew have watched me do this for decades and started to do the same now themselves with good results.  Just saying ....
