I was diagnosed stage three colon cancer at age 40....nine years ago. Six months of heavy chemo sucked, but I'm four years past the "dead line" they gave me! Stay super positive and enjoy every waking moment.

Wow.
Also praying you'll get the treatment you need to keep active with your family.

GERD is common and something I deal with.  My DR treats it seriously and insists I stay on track with my Prilosec.  Your situation is a good enforcement- thanks for sharing.
Keep 'em Straight!!! (and quiet)

keep up the good fight especially for your kids...

I have been doing some reading and since this is about cancer i thought i'd bring it up. Basically one of the theories about how cancer forms is by our bodies not being alkaline enough. Our diet today consists of things that are more acidic on a daily basis. Things like red meat, coke, alcohol, and other food choices cause our body to become more acidic. 7.4 PH is about normal (blood ph) and lower PH levels help.

One of the key health problems that most people have is that are dehydrated, and don't drink enough fluid to flush their system.
It seems that there are pushing slightly alkaline water to solve this problem, however it would also seem that re-hydrating with good old fashioned water and eating foods that are not massively acidic.

What are your thoughts on this issue? Anyone...
