I pray I never face anything like this, but if I do I hope I fight as hard as you are and live with as much grace and strength as you are.  Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Ice, you are inspiring.  Thank you for being you.....   Keep up the fight through the good and the bad and please, PLEASE let us know if you ever need anything.   :salute:

Ice that is so good to hear.  And your wife can be in denial sometimes that's the best coping mechanism for the situation.  My kiddo is like 18 months cancer free they took out his port a couple months ago.  He called to tell me he has scans on my birthday (this is where denial is handy) and his results on Thursday.

Keep on doing what you are doing, except working so much  :chuckle: although my guess is you would stress out if you had to stop working.  I am so glad you updated all of us I think of you often.

Glad to see you post Iceman.  Everyone has been thinking about you.

My sister-in-law was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer and given 6 months to one year timeframe.  That was over 10 years ago. So, the doctors definitely can't predict how much fight a particular person has in them.

Keep up the fight.

I just admire somebody who is brave enough to face that much treatment.  Hat off to you again ICEMAN

I too know someone diagnosed terminal - twice!  They are alive and well 4 years later.

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Ha, you guys. Not sure it is really being so tough dealing with it. You are sort of in a peculiar position where your options are limited. IE: What else am I going to do.... Anyhow, your comments make me feel pretty good. It makes me think of those out there that do not get support like I have. Really sad for those folks.

I posted something on Facebook a month ago about the "daze" i get in while driving. Thinking about the future, the past, and what the future will look like for my wife, kids and family. Probably a blessing to know that our (my) times are limited. Puts things into perspective. I have no excuse for not making sure my loved ones know how I care for and love them. It makes you a big softy. I used to have a bit more harsh attitude. Don't get me wrong, I can be a humongous pain in the ass if needed. The nice thing is that when I plan any event lately, everyone comes to it! :)

I will be out trying to blast some ducks this weekend before the closer. Next is probably some razor clams, then turkey. What else am I missing this time of year? I need to get out as much as I can while I can. Hey, come to think of it Cohoho owes me a trip! :) I canned up a bunch of his tuna for him....I need to give him a call.

Huntwa, you are all awesome, thanks for the support. Kevin.

It's good to see you back. I want you to know your post about the over the counter pain meds got me to the Dr. I have a neck injury from a car accident years ago and use to eat Advil by the handful. Looking into the side effects got me worried. I have been through this with a friend who had brain cancer and my grandfather. I know its hard to ask for help, but I'm fairly close. If you need any help, a ride to an appointment or anything, feel free to reach out and if I can help I would be happy to do so.

Jeff

I have to give much respect to someone who goes through cancer treatments and can hold down a job & family at the same time.  Much respect, Iceman.  Thanks for the update.  I have learned a lot about life by listening to your amazing story.  God bless you and your family.

So happy to see your name popping up all over, you've definitely been in the thoughts and prayers of us all! You are an incredibly strong man to be working and going through not only cancer but everything else that's been thrown at you  :yike: I can't even begin to imagine the mental strength you have to have that type of work ethic. Most could not do it, you are truly one of a kind. We are lucky you are taking the time to fill us in when you're in pain, and your family needs you much more, but it shows what a great family this forum is!

That is so great you've been getting out and making every day count, getting out to hunt and fish. I can't wait to read many more stories, and getting that buck next year.. hopefully you have a great taxi picked out ;)

Quad, thanks for the offer, very generous of you. I am working around the home this weekend, and will hit the swamp on Sunday for the last chance at flying steak. (duck)  Hopefully it blows and pours rain, seems like we have the best luck when crappy weather.

Next week is crappy week. Chemo Monday morning at 8am. I will catch up on my naps on Monday afternoon. :)
