Trophy Taker Rest

I had a trophy taker installed when i purchased my bow and i thought i read or heard something that the drop away rests are supposed to lay flat on the bow when down.  mine kinda sticks up a little bit and you can see wear from where the fletchings are hitting the thing.  do i need to change this?

It should lay flat. Sounds like it needs to be adjusted lower. If the fletchings are hitting before the rest is all the way down then the rest needs to fall sooner as well.

you need to take a little slack out of the cord that raiser the launcher arm.  That will cause it to raise sooner and also fall sooner.   It should be all the way up the last 1 and a half to 2 inches of the draw.

it is all the way up the last little bit of draw.  the issue is that it mounted too low so the prongs can't lay flat.  they hit the edge of the horizontal surface.  If i move the rest up will that affect anything else?.....sorry for the confusion.  i just got a bow three months ago and it is my first.  I will try and get a picture on here to show what it looks like.

Do not move until season is over, if shooting OK.
If it is in tune you will be out if you move it. Not a big deal if you do not have fletching contact. After season you can raise knock point and rest to proper setting. A lot of times a shop will set knock point then adjust rest until tuned, and sometimes they are in to big of a hurry to raise both to proper settings because they would have to repaper tune. No big deal at all if shooting OK.

Jae is correct.  when the prongs are all the way up the arrow should be centered with the Berger hole, which is the hole where the rest is mounted.  a pinch higher is ok, but lower is a bad thing, and leads to fletch contact with the prongs or arrow holder/shelf

like i said....this is my first bow.  if i raise the trophy taker so the prongs lay flat when they are down, wouldn't i have to raise the knock point.  Does the knock point have to be centered between the cams?
