I just came back from Florida on vacation and thought that I would pick up some .22lr on the way to the airport to bring home.  I only stopped at one store, but 22 and 9mm were non existent. They said it is gone in a day when they get it, same as here.

Isn't CCI of ID doing a huge expansion in their rim fire production? I thought they were making the move to double thier production capacity?
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

There is no NORMAL any longer. Ever since obummer came in things have gone south; far south.

South?  I thought they went East, all the way to the Red East  :chuckle: :bash:

Prices would only go down if a republican besides Chris Christie gets elected as president.  So, again probably won't ever happen again.  10 million more undocumented democrats are waiting for there papers.  JK   :chuckle:

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

I would guess it will be a while.  When the stuff has been on the shelf so long they have to have a clearance sale.
I kind of wonder how the pending ammo law in Kalifornia will effect things.  Will the residents of that state just buy up in bulk in AZ, NV and OR...keeping the supply low/price high in those states?  But with all their gun/magazine bans and restrictions, will they even be able to own guns or shoot to make it an issue?

I bought a boat battery yesterday for $110 to replace the exact same battery I bought 3 years ago, from the same dealer, for $67.  Demand for lead ...
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Bought two boxes of 9mm at bimart for $13.49 a box yesterday, about what it use to sell for. Didn't have a lot but it seems the supply is getting better slowly.

When will I be able to buy a 50rd box of 9mm again for $10 bucks?

How about a brick of 22lr, 525rds for $10 bucks? $15?

Ever?

When your awake it is wishful thinking, when asleep and in your Rapid Eye Movement, (REM), mode then there it will be.
Progressives are coming for your guns.
What are you going to do?

Well me, I do not have any guns, gave away or sold them 15 years ago.

I thought they already are "normal" ??? Prices are set by where the quantity supplied equals the quantity demanded and where marginal revenue equals marginal cost. What is an"normal" price of a gallon of gasoline?

We all have normative views of what ammo, gas etc should be, but that is not always what is normal.

Unless there is a significant change in mining and extraction regulations, I don't think well ever see .22lr below $15 a brick ever again or gasoline under $2.00/gal. Laws and taxes are a factor, but so are raw commodity prices as well.  :twocents:
