WHAT!!!!    MTBIKER, You already got rid of the Hoyt and coming back to Bowtech, not sure if we should let you back into the fold, once a trader always a trader. LOL

Haha!  Oh, the story gets even better.  Give Ryan a call.  LMAO!!!!  Anyway, call me the Prodigal Son.   :chuckle:

Hey, the Spyder Turbo is a great bow.  One of the best draw cycles for its speed, IMO.  I just struggled to find the sweet spot with the grip.  Started out with the full grip, then went to side plates.  Then finally went to a bare riser, which was the best, but still I felt like my hand wasn't at full peace with it.  Also, the 6" brace probably wasn't helping the situation, either.  I felt that every shot had to be an 'A' game shot (I'm referring to my form).  For me it was either a dead nuts shot or a real flyer  And I know what it means and feels like to be consistent.

@radsav - Pro 40 is 38 in axle to axle and very forgiving.

CPXL is shorter axle to axle, wall is not as smooth and stable, but much faster.

I shoot a heavier arrow, 500 grains and a 125 gr Helix arrow head. So at longer ranges, I shoot flatter now.

I'm getting used to my new setup but loving it thus far.

Going for antelope, whitetails and elk this season here in Colorado.

Would love to hunt up in WA one day. Beautiful country.

Rudy

38"...so you had the Wheely!  Don't know many that had that model.  312 fps was pretty good back then ;)  Especially for 27.25" brace.  Hope you kept it.  They were neat bows.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Have had mine for about two months, very demanding bow, however I am now shooting it as good as my diamond liberty. You have to stay on top of your form, and actually I'm shooting it better then my Liberty. My draw length and 65# pull weight bring me down to 305 fps with a 390 grain arrow. Long story short It's great.
