We didn't see a lot of bucks and the ones we did were by themselves for the most part or with other bucks. Both buck we got were with does but didn't show any real interest in them. To bad you are not hunting this weekend in the past the second weekend of the hunt the bucks are getting more active.

He was probably about the size of the 1st one you posted. I passed him on Monday, regretted it, went back up Tuesday looking for him and found him. He was the only buck I saw of any size, and the only mature buck I saw that had any interest in does. We did see a few of the young whitetails with their nose to the ground pretty hot and heavy on the trail of the does. The mule deer were all in...rutting, lip curling, chasing, etc. Just running around stupid. Tons of fun to watch.I definitely should have took the 2nd weekend off. Initially I had the whole season off. Crazy stuff happened with work and they needed me to come back. If I knew it was going to go that way, I would have swapped, but it was too late and I can't screw around with my job.
