The way I read that first, I thought you said/meant mountains instead of unit.

Well you will find that a majority of the permit holders hunt that portion that butts up to the Entiat. I am not going to say this is good or bad or even a permit holder should not hunt there. But it is a large unit. Enough said.

Go to Montana Sept/Oct and save November for your permit hunt.

I mis-interpreted your post, if I didn't have two partners to consider I would/still may consider that, or maybe push it off to Thanksgiving week. Initially, we had planned to head out the 15th, but I have a feeling MY plans will be deviating from that.

Gonna be some warm riding but got stuff to do.

there aren't any deer in the chiwawa. . Imo way better tag than entiat.  Have fun and be picky
