I would agree with hunting the rut its an awesome time time to be in the woods with these monsters.
Remember that buck is climbing that Mt. every day!

Its fun to hear them glunk but its definitely not essential. The later part of the season the leaves fall, making seeing deeper into the timber/brush much easier. You will also find the bulls grouping back up after the rut, making finding more of them a little easier as well. :twocents:

Is that a cow tag or any moose?

So the regs (pg 64 at the top in blue) say we have 15 days to purchase our license by the "deadline established".  Does anyone know what the deadline is?  I tried to purchase the moose tag on-line today and was unable to do so.  Thanks

From what I have seen and read its 15 days from when you get the card in the mail from the game department saying what tag you have drawn.  Then it should be in the system for you to buy and I guess that is when the 15 days starts.  Great draw!!!

Last year I got my notice mid-july then had until early august to purchase the tag.  Should be the same this year.  I cannot swear by it, but I think I had to send them a check.

OK, thanks guys.  I was concerned it was 15 days from WDFW posting draw results.  Would hate to mess it up after 18 years of trying.

Only 18 years?  Hope you know how lucky you are.  I consider myself lucky after getting drawn for moose on what I think is my 34th try.

Congrats on the tags, I think you have to send a check with the card you receive, can't do it online.  Take copies and send it registered mail. They will send you a packet with instructions.
