Drew a Alta unit Anterless. Shouldn't be to hard to fill.
The first bird may get the worm, but it's the second rat that gets the cheese.

It's the disabled draw...... took me a hour last time to walk up to them and a hour and a half to carry it out. I can't walk.  This time I'm bringing a wheelbarrow. Anyplace around Twisp to have it hung for a week or so? The grocery stor in Republic used to hang my deer until I went home for $20, there must be somewhere around Twisp that will do it.

Good job checking now on a place to hang the meat, it is getting tougher and tougher to find a spot due to food regulations and the health department.  You might have to make a trip over and talk face to face with some people.  You might be able to grease the wheels that way and get in somewhere.  Good luck on the hunt and the storage.

I am not sure anymore but you use to be able to hang at the grocery store there in Twisp and also the butcher shop right up the road half a mile.  I use to hunt that unit a lot with great success but no only go every other year or so.

Thanks Rainier. Good idea, I have a friend / contractor that lives up Libby Creek and knows everybody. I'll hit him up. I'd hate to have to drive it all the way back to Dell's then back to Methow. I don't want to go home just because I get a deer right off the bat. There's still ducks and grouse.

The Meat market just outside of Twisp on Twisp- Carlton Road. Used to be Methow Meats.
AS mentioned before Should have your tag filled within 30 minutes without every getting out of the field

I think its called Thomson's Custom Meats now. I'm with Phool though, just hang it up high in the hills as long as you don't have to burn a bunch of fuel getting there, Buttermilk, Black Pine Lake, etc.

Should be an easy tag to fill just depends how far off the road you want to get her. Can easily shoot one close to the road

Last time I got one there it was 80 degrees in the daytime at Black Pine Lake. I ended up driving it back home so it wouldn't spoil. I just dropped off a 16 ft. steel swing arm gate last Saturday to my contractor, and should go over there next weekend to deposit my camp trailer. I'll hit up the grocery store and meat market talk to them....... "Networking" if you will. Thanks for the advice......... Standing there with blood all over and a warm deer hanging it's too late to start asking questions.
