I had that tag in 04 hard hunt lots of snow and riffle and archery hunters are in there at the same time not too fun. I did see some pretty good bucks though, and took a decent 3x4
Its all about the bone baby!

Head Hunter, if you have a picture of the buck you shot could you post it if it's not to much trouble.  What type of bucks did you see, I am hoping for a 150 class or bigger.  Thanks

I had a doe tag in 05 and saw some pretty good bucks... There was LOTS of snow that year so that probably helped. I only hunted half a day and saw a nice 4x4 in the 150 range, a couple decent three points, and a huge forked horn.

Do you have access to ORVs?  If not, find some.

Martin, that looks like a very good buck, thanks for posting.  JLS, I do have a quad and if the snow gets to deep I have access to a Razor with tracks.

Good deal, those roads can tear the heck out of a vehicle, and your body riding in it!

I would find worse words than that to describe them, but we've been asked not to use that kind of language here. :tung:

I wonder if "road" is even the proper term.   :dunno:

ya all the roads are horrible up there even in jeeps or toyota trucks let alone my 3/4 ton dodge but who wants to road hunt anyway. you just use them to get kinda where you wanna be.

An ATV would be a great help for sure. Still some real whoppers up there, you will have fun. I have put in for a long time for that tag, sure hope to get a chance someday. Make us proud, hunt your tail off!

There are some big deer there.  You should see plenty of bucks and at least see a few really nice bucks.

I plan on hunting form November 21st to December 1st then I have to go back to work,  then I will be back hunting from December 6th through December 9th if needed.

For those that have hunted the Quilomene do you think a 150 class or bigger buck is realistic?  Thanks for the help .
