Finally drew my late season archery Entiat tag!!!!
« on: June 20, 2013, 06:25:33 AM »
After putting in for the tag the last 8 years i was finally fortunate enough to draw the tag. Its been a while since i have been in the unit, but i am looking forward to go there and learn some more of the area. For those of you that have this tag please feel free to share your experiences and pictures of some of the deer you got to harvest or take pictures of. Thanks guys!

Pack chains for all four tires and a shovel. Rain or snow it can be difficult. I'm jealous of you and I drew the desert tag with my second choice this year.

I was up there last weekend. Saw a handful of deer and got pictures of about 6-8 different bucks. One is a decent buck that could grow into a shooter.

I drew that tag as well.  I'm looking forward to it as it's been several years since I've hunted muleys, and I've yet to hang a tag on one.  See ya up there!

As suggested, be sure to purchase thick quality chains for all four tires in case of snow

Good idea to learn the roads and unit boundary on the western edge.  The migatory herd will be there in November.  If we have a late winter, I would definately focus on the higher western edge where the more mature bucks will be.  Mud Creek, Crum and Oklahoma Gulch get hunted a lot and won't be that good for mature bucks until later in the winter.
