Clockum Cow Tag
« on: June 20, 2013, 03:26:03 PM »
My wife drew a rifle cow tag.  This will be a great opportunity to get her first elk.  Cant wait.

So did I and 5 buddies in the group.  A friends grandson got his first animal with that tag last year.

Oh yeah...great tag specially for a first elk.  Should be a great hunt and GREAT chance at filling that tag.  I have hunted up there a lot and there are lots of elk...mostly cow of course so perfect for her.  Have fun and post story and pic's after the hunt.

Get the wind farm pass, park in one of their parking lots and wait for a herd to walk within 100 yards. No need to pack it very far.

I had that tag, use to live in Ellensburg and know the Clockum well. We went up days early just to have fun scouting and taking pictures of big bulls by the reserve.  Take your time and enjoy the hunt because you shouldn't have any problems getting your animal. We were also limited due to the fire so half the unit was closed.

I can't figure out why you only get the last 4 days to get a cow.  Why not the whole season?
If its brown knock it down

If that was the case, it's like Rambo said "they're all dead sir".
