It's the premier hunt in the state, what are you going to do with the tag?I'm going to eat it if my whitetail shows up regularly on my trail camera. I've been after him for years. Depends on what he scores. When he fills in his frame and I get a better picture, I will post him on another thread and ask people to judge him. If he's a 180 whitey, then I will try to put him on the hook instead of a 180 muley.
Try this again[/quoteBlue ribbon winner for sure

Odds are you wont see a 170 class muley on your Entiat hunt, let alone harvest a 180".

So you've hunted the mule deer in this unit from november 1st through the 20th with a rifle during the peak of their rut?
JREBEL is correct. I hunted that before it went to permit. Was way better back then. Permits are low due to poaching. Any Way I would shoot the big whitetail. There are nice bucks in there but tough country with a bow. I love the area. Good luck. learn the area.
I also live and spend a ton of time In all the areas in central Washington......A 150 to 170 inch mule deer is very doable during the rut if you spend some time and are patient. 170+ takes a whole lot of luck along with time and patients. They are there, but not as plentiful as most would think. Good luck and listen to the people posting on here. You don't have to hunt the area yearly to know what a realistic expectation is. The quality and quantity of deer in the area is not what it was 15 years ago.
