gonna use nosler's load data to match their 180gr accubond specs. Any guess as to what primer or brass to use? (besides nosler of course, I think I can use federal brass and my own primers)

the nosler brass is really nice to use.  it comes ready for primer,powder and bullets.  its expensive but really nice to use

If you are starting well below max, you can change components easily enough.   We load 180 gr. Accubonds over the top of a near compressed load of Magpro, with Winchester Brass and CCI Large Magnum Primers.. very very accurate and about 2900 fps.  Kills elk at 400 yards.

I run IMR 4350 in all my short mags. 180g accubond 2900fps works great. I run pretty much Winchester brass in all my short mags along with either cci LRM or federal LRM primer.

I'm another fan of Winchester brass and CCI LRM primers for the 300 WSM. I burn a lot of H4350 in the WSM, but Reloader 17 has worked pretty well for me too.

IMR 4350 and CCI primer for me in win brass, very accurate and 2950 fps.

It has taken me months to round up all my supplies ..from powder to bullets to primers and brass  now that I have it all I am eager to start working on a load ...I will be running IMR 4831 or IMR 4350 ...those are my 2 most favorite ...topped with 180 gr Hornaday Interlock ...we see what I come up with .

One of these days when you find your 180gr load. Try some H4350 behind a 165gr Interlock or Accubond. I have shot the .30's for many years, i was shooting a custom .308 Baer(.340 Weatherby Mag necked down) before the Ultra Magnums hit the street. I found that a little more speed and a little less weight is optimal in the .300 Winchester and the .300 WSM. I really enjoy both cartridges and have taken Mule deer and Elk with both. I know I have never had to use anything larger than a 150gr Accubond in my .300 WSM, it has taken Mulies out to just short of 400 yards. In the magnum  .30 Cal's, speed makes up for mass to a certain point. Anything larger than Elk I would be moving to a 180gr plus bullet. Heck a good friend of mine holds the current California Sheep world record with a lowly, white trash 😉150gr Hornady Interlock bullet

This is a 150gr Nosler Accubond recovered from just under the hide on the off side of a Mulie I shot, just shy of 400 yards. Winchester brass, 215M & a max charge of H4350.

165 out of a 300wsm is a great choice I believe I was shooting 63gr imr 4350 behind a 165 partition don't quote me on that as I don't have my book in front of me but I have taken one bear and one deer with that set up and they were both very dead the instant the bullet hit them.

The Accubond does have a higher BC than the Hornady's interlocks and Nosler Partitions but at standard hunting ranges, it's not enough to matter. All three are killers, I just never jumped on the Barnes wagon and never will. I've tried them on the bench with several cartridges and was not impressed. I enjoy a Berger bullet when they shoot well but they are finicky to load for as compared to the old school Sierra Match Kings I shot for years.

Now this is a sexy recovered Accubond!

This was recovered from a Mulie I shot faceing me head on at 560 yards. This .375 cal 260gr Accubond was launched from a .375 Ultra Magnum at a muzzle velocity of 3070.

The bullet hit the deer center of the chest faceing head on at a slight downward angle the bullet was recovered just under the hide on the belly, just ahead of the pelvic bone. Spectacular hit to say the least, flat rolled him.
