The article goes through scoring numbers but isn't really a "field" guide.

If it were a field guide it would give some tips on how to determine what the width is in relationship to something like the body, or using one's scope, etc.  In other words, tricks for assessing the critical numbers when actually in the field.

Ears are usually bout 18 to 20 inches tip to tip so if you Have a bull with a foot on each side outside the ears your looking at a 42 - 44 inches spread
