My Dad and I drew the Mt Spokane B antlerless Moose tag. From what I have read it does not seem like there is a lot of public access. Is this true. We have never been over to this unit.

We have two tags also. It will take about a day to get your moose. Good luck. Buy an inland paper pass
If it aint broke, dont fix it.

if there's any IEP (inland empire Paper) land, the access pass is around $40-45 (can buy a pass at White's Boots on Ferry St. here in Spokane).  non-motorized up there, i think, but there might be someone with motorized access that could assist you.

Mt spokane moose is pretty much limited to IEP land but that is a good thing as this is well managed land.  There is some public land and priovate that hold a ton of moose too and if you can get hookked up that can be good but a hard thing to do.  Invest one or two full weekends to get the permit and learn the roads and where the clear cuts are.  a cow moose can be easy or hard just depending on when you happen to be there to hunt.  Main thing is to know where you need to go and see a few animals to get it figgured out. Plan on putting the miles on during the hunt.

Also be sure to stop at Hooters which is right on your way to the IEP gate.... :chuckle:

there is lots of access if you have a paper permit.   get a years pass and drive around and shoot one in the road or uphill.  no kidding.  head shoot it if you can and it will drop like a rock.  shoot it in the body and it will stand there till you bust it again.   mike w

oops, forgot to mention,  dont shoot one in idaho as there is more paper land there and it is tough to tell where you are.     mike w
