Wynoochee late cow hunt
« on: June 21, 2013, 06:57:25 PM »
I drew my first ever elk tag and it happened to be my third choice... go figure. Im very excited and have already begun the initial stages of scouting. My bow is ready to put down my first elk and I'm getting excited to put the boots on the ground and find a fat cow for the freezer.
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming

Up until last year that used to be a general late archery season hunt, honestly I think the reason its permit now is because some doosh in the wdfw saw they could make more money. Their is elk there but not what I consider "permit" quality. Good luck, and you will find elk but you'll have to work for it.   :twocents:

Most of the local farmers are begging for the WDFW to issue more permits.  Talk to the guy who has the farm by the white bridge and he will probably give you a kiss for wanting to kill a cow out of his field.  The elk are really doing some major damage to fences, crops and eroding creek and river banks.  The locals are fed up!
