Hi Naches,

I managed to get lucky enough to pull a tag in Cleman A.  Drew it with 14 pts since my Dad started putting me in when I was 13.  I've never been able to hunt one of the "exotics" so I figured I jump on here to try do as much homework as I can before I start scouting.  Hopefully I'll pull a good ram but more than anything i'm just excited for the opportunity.

Several very good rams in that unit, but they are not where everybody thinks they are.  Don't fall into the "waterworks" trap.

your young with good legs I'd et on top and hike and glass every canyon from the top of Stanford east to the wenas road . I saw some sheep in the top of Benton creek last year but you should be able to find a shooter further east . It's a good idea to contact norspeak , this is your oil make it count you only get on chance at this . I will post a pic Monday of what your looking for .

btw does anyone know if blue ear tag # 417 is still around ? that ram had really good bases At 5 1/2. he should be 8 1/2 now . I'd check with the bio to see if he's been harvested . # 408 is a 170class ram but not sure if he's still around he'd be 10-12 years old he is very broomed .

Thanks for the tip Coach, its much appreciated!

Hey Danny, Thanks! I've been telling my Dad to go buy some lotto tickets the way he's been getting drawn lately!

TheHunt- I'd love to hire a guide but those funds left my wallet months ago since im getting married in Sept (before the hunt luckily!) My Dad and I will be doing as much legwork as we can, I'm just trying to absorb everything I can so that I make the most of this hunt.

I'd have to check pics from this last winter.    :dunno:   Memory isn't what it used to be.

I got some good pics of some very nice rams that are shooters but they're on a flashdrive so it will be awhile before I could post.  I spoke witha bio and couple gammies last year and they menrioned there was only a couple of rams with ear tags left up there.  Have fun and be picky.
