salmon corky/ plunking

So when fishing with corkys can you use a 3 way swivle and a 6 inch line leading to a weight  like plunking but with a corky and yarn or do I use a swivle and a weight connected to the swivle and then have a leader with yarn and corky?

a 6" dropper on the weight would only tangle when trying to drift. short dropper, maybe a couple inches might be ok. here are some info links. some have diagrams you may find useful. most guys hook weight right to swivel.

I wouldnt do it. Personally id just tie on a snap swivel from circle eye to circle eye and let the snap hang freely. Then take the hollow lead weight and punch a hole through it with hole punch fishing pliers. Then simply stick the snap part that was hanging free through that hole. Good to go, caught up to 30lb fish that way. I only use 12-15lb mono leaders max. Usually maxima chamelion 15lb. Maxima is one of my favorite mono's personally. It has virtually no line memory and boy is it tough, alittle pricey though. Come out this way when the salmon run and ill show u some things if u want man. Pink season makes for great practice.

Yes, but I wasn't going to suggest that...

Not sure what that is, we used to use this thing called the satsop fly at the satsop river a few years ago. Just take a normal barbless 2/0 hook I think it is, or whatever size hook you prefer, and wrap it with a pipe cleaner, darker colors worked better, the water was so crystal clear u had to sneak up on them. Pipe cleaner gave just the perfect amount of bouyancy to coast underwater but not completely float. Slayyyed em on that setup.

It helps it float alittle better and helps hold scents if you have scent stuff. Usually some shrimp flavored goo all over the yarn, then whatever color corky. thats what I do. Or just yarn and a corky with youe hook. Good to go. I keep it simple.

Think Ill be pleadin' the 5th on that one...

...But,  from what I have heard, it involves tying a corkie behind the hook on the tag from the bumper knot, so the hook floats point down with nothing between it and any... It is illegal. Law states hook must be attached to or behind lure, not lure behind hook.
