Here are some VERY limiting factors of hosting the R100. The location would have to have 100 different shotting target areas, with with safety requires LOTS of land. The club would need to have plenty of camping available, and last but not least A HUGE ammount of club support to set up then run one of these events. I have set up and run some decent sized 3d shoots but nothing that big. It requires a LOT of time and dedication.

I can think of a couple other locations that could physically hold the shoot, however they likely do not have the manpower to do so. They also don't have as central of a location for the shoot.  :twocents:
If you look at the schedual you will see that we are the only real western state that has this event... So placing it between 2 large metro areas Portland and Seattle/tacoma is pretty smart on thier part...

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

If you read the application for clubs to host it 3 important questions are
1 Can you park 300 cars?
2 What are the 3 biggest cities near you?
3 What is the biggest event you have held?

These 3 things IMO say alot about your club and your experience.

I would LOVE to host such a bad ass shoot at Silver Arrow Bowmen. Unfortuantly we do not have the facilites or the location to make it happen. We had 135 people on the course for a shoot this year and it was a LOT of work to keep it up and going. I can't imagine 3x that number.  :twocents:
