Hope you are fully recovered in time to get out and really enjoy all that your OIL tag has to offer. Have a fun safe and very successful hunt.

I'll be busy off and on chasing elk with my muzzy and deer with my rifle, but if I'm available when you get one on the ground I'd be happy to come help.  Feel free to shoot me a PM

Home from back surgery.  Hope this works and a speedy recovery is in my future

Did you have a discectomy or was your spine fused or something else?
Progressives are coming for your guns.
What are you going to do?

Well me, I do not have any guns, gave away or sold them 15 years ago.

Elkbow,
Let me know when you are over for your moose hunt. I have family over in Spokane and I will be back and forth hunting in the Spokane area.

4 weeks after surgery and doing better than expected.  Am walking 1-2 miles a day with no difficulty.  Things are looking up and should be good to go by Oct.1st.

I'll help pack if I'm available. I'll be hunting the first part of October in a different part of the state but if I'm available when you get one down I'd be more than willing to help

L5-s1 fusion

 :o :o :o

That sounds horribly painful!  I turned down the fusion and am glad I did.  The guy that was in the recovery room with me I talked to a year later and he had never played another game of golf.

My recovery was quick.  I was back playing golf after about five weeks.  Only regret I have is that I should have demanded they clean both sides instead of one.  Now I have one leg that feels great and one that feels like it belongs to some grumpy old fat guy ;)  I pack just as much today as I did 20 years ago.

One problem post surgery I had was extreme cramps anytime I fly or drive gravel roads.  Had a few sessions of acupuncture and no more cramps!  Not sure if it was the treatments or my body just not wanting more needles :dunno:  Either way it's been great except the leg on the side they ignored.

Good to hear you are recovering well.  I'd bet Bearpaw could have someone ready to assist in getting moose meat out of the bush!  I'm sure he could give you cost and possibilities if you give him a call.  If nothing else it might be a good backup plan.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I almost opted out of it.  But being a union sheetmetal worker and dealing with leg and back pain for quite a few years and seemed like everytime I went on a trip it would flare up and wreck the trip or hunt.  I am having no leg pain whatsoever and I'm 5 wks. Out.  And feeling better than I thought I would at this point.
