They kill spikes in most of the east side units and it doesn't seem to effect the number of big bulls on the east side :twocents:. I would much rather them kill a spike and let the cow walk than to go out there and shoot a big bull or a cow.

Good point.  Like it or not, it isn't going to stop.  At least anytime soon.

Pretty much a Ceremonial hunt.  I think a spike is the best option that could have been taken.  I am glad the hunter chose to pass over cows if they had the opportunity.

I know what guys mean about shooting spikes rather than big bulls,  ut at the end of the day big bulls or spikes, they SHOULD NOT be gettin shot in June! I don't care how u spin it! This state does not care about conservation, only about makin money and as long as we keep buying licenses, raffle tickets and special permit apps, nothin will change

I understand your anger but Washington isn't the only state that this happens in and as much as we hate it and wish it would stop really wishing is all it is. the only way it will ever stop is if the tribes decide to stop. the state has zero control in it.

Did they follow the law?  If they did, then end of discussion. If you don't like the rules, then try to change the rules.  It doesnt matter about personal opinion when it comes to subjects like this.  It is either legal or illegal.

It is what you meant it to be...

Sounds like what they did was within their rights

I think were better off working with some of the tribes than fighting them, some things are not going to change. Took me awhile to realize that. But I have more faith in the tribes solving some issues than our beloved game department.

I'm not saying that it is illegal, I'm saying it shouldn't be legal, and i do really wish I could change it. Sorry if I upset some of u with starting this topic. I really am. I just wish people could have some conservation in that they take it upon themselves to not do things like this. Poachers, Indians, people who party hunt and everbody else included. Lewy and I have hunted together for along time and always pass on smaller bucks and bears and not shoot sows ext. ext. to try and improve the hunting for the future, but it all seems in vain when I see an elk gut pule in june! Just disheartning

I understand where you are coming from, it bothers me just as much to see an elk gut pile and an unborn calf fetus in the woods in January when the late permit hunters are out.

Best approach has already been said earlier, try and work with the tribes and not fight against what will never change unless they chose to change it.  But in all reality, who has that kinda time and energy?

Something must be done about the tribal hunting Bull *censored*!!!!!! I have been in trophy units scouting in september only to have trucks of tribal members pass me and even tell me that they passed on a bull because it was only in the 330 range.

If they are going to kill a spike, what difference does it make if is in June?  Is September, October, or November better?

If it was shot in a legal season in a legal spike area than I don't have a problem with it. Equality right? Like the rest of us
