I don't hunt this unit any more during general season due to over crowding but there are a lot of whitetails in the unit find agriculture fields backed up to public land and sit for 1st 2 hrs and last 2hrs of the day and you should do fine. As for camping most of the spots not in state parks fill up in the days leading up to the opener. I've been there muzzle hunting and camps are already set up for modern good luck.

Tons of good public land.  I think you'll do fine on any of the NF land.  I guess I would suggest heading north of Republic on North fork trout creek toward Ward and Empire lake.  Lots of whitetail, and a cool area.  Just be careful...thats bigfoot country too.

lol. Just a couple live above empire lakes no big deal..  But yes that is a good area and it needs some does taken out of there. Buck to doe ratio is off

Go west on hwy 20 from kettle falls. Tons of deer and places to camp all along that stretch of sherman pass.

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
