Got me excited for archery deer season, maybe.
« on: June 28, 2013, 09:45:11 AM »
I looked out the kitchen window this morning on my way to the coffee pot and I see a deer near my chicken coop.  Wow, nice rack...

I grab the camera and tiptoe out there.  I finally spot him along the side of the coop eating Ocean Spray and there is another one behind the coop as well.  Both of these are nice three points with brow tines, which are somewhat rare here.  The one is really wide.

For a size reference, the bottom of the crossbar next to the first deer is not quite three feet off the ground.

not bad, has some potential!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Nice!  I have some that live in the woods near my house and property.  They are not too scared of people.

I've never seen any island deer like that!

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
