Handsome Hound
« on: June 25, 2013, 05:06:54 PM »
Houndsmen,
I needed to get something fresh posted on this forum, sick of nothing new in Hound Hunters.

This is Ezra.  He is five months old.

He'll be treeing his first coon in a few months.

Sweet hounds!   ;)  I MISS my hounds so much!  I plan to get back to hounds hunting very soon so I can spend time with my kids in wood more often...

Got addicted to hound hunting back in North Carolina and love the sound of good working dogs but never get the chance to even get out with anyone that has hounds
just to listen to the sweet music.
Both of those pictures are good looking critters

I'm so excited to have kids one day and a whole pack of hounds to run with.

Its the best fun I could imagine, taking my kids out on coon hunts.

That's a good looking dog. I have always liked the looks of those black and tans. Have you found any coon hunting spots yet?

Yeah I've got a good amount of areas that I can take him.  Unfortunately they're more than a quick jaunt but it's worth it to get quality training.

I'll probably just end up getting an Idaho license since that's only twenty minutes away.

Good luck on the Idaho lic, they only give out 70 non-resident permits a year.  I was lucky enough to draw 3 times in 11 years.  You can't run coons without a hound permit over there.  :(  You apply in Nov and if you are lucky and draw it will be valid 01 Jan 2014 to 31 Dec 2014.

Hah!  I knew there had to be a catch to it.   :dunno:

I didn't read the regs yet, just the license fees.

Crap.  Oh well, the important thing is training for know.
