Unit 11-1 rifle for me.   Bio called.  Local friends called.  Scouting trips planned.  Doubling my workout efforts.

Right on.  That's a true hunters approach.  Congrats

Thx!  Those are the easy parts.  The hard part is figuring out how to keep in my better half's good graces while I'm out on my WY elk (archery), ID elk (rifle), WA elk/cow (rifle), WA deer (archery) on top of taking my kids on their WA deer/elk hunts (late mule and cow elk plus general deer).

The precedent should have been set early in the your relationship, after years of marriage its considered the norm to be gone most weekends and several full weeks between Sept 1 and the new year. ;)

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Of course you still have to wonder about the ones that are eager for you to leave..............and smile at you when you get home to find the toilet seat up. :o
