Watching a 2-liter pop bottle explode in your scope when you're 800 yards away is pretty fun.

Dang, that's pretty long shot with a bow :yike:

We hung a field tip target from a cable on pulleys, there was 2 areas with hay bales behind the "shot zone" to help with the first shot :chuckle: We hung one side of the cable higher than the other side so all you had to do was bring it up the hill and let it go!! It was some good practice. :twocents:

Will drive you nuts, but trying to shoot a Ping-Pong ball hanging from a string is dang near impossible.  But one of my favorite things to shoot at.  Almost like trying to shoot a robin hood without wasting an arrow.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

You know.....the ping pong ball would be a good practice idea at the range. Easy to set up with the carpet style targets....may have to try that.

Flying swallows. Lately my girlfriend and I have been going to a big sand put to practice. She got good enough she wanted to try and hit one in the holes they made in the sand walls needless to say it evolved into trying to get one when they fly along the sand wall. The sand is nice cause its just hard enough to stop the arrow but not so hard the arrow with break or ricochet.
Slinging arrows and flinging lead is in my blood!

Every year in Elk camp we hang an egg from a string and compete for dinner a Skamania Lodge...We also look for some "tight" area to shot through (low tree limbs, trees close together, etc.)  to get to target. The guys next to us are traditional archers and have schooled me a few times....lol  :chuckle: fun for all
Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me
Genesis 27:3

I may not have alot but what I have I got honest.....

I'd rather be hated for what I am then be loved for what I'm not

Is it me, or are people getting dumber

We used to do the same thing, only with plastic golf balls. Tons of fun
