Smossy - No pics of that awesome new set of strings and cables   Looks like it is shooting good   Sometimes it's good to take a break from shooting for a while.  I think you had gotten a little fatigued both mentally and physically.  Glad to see you are back on track.  I'm starting to feel sorry for that first ever critter come September

I did post some in another thread. The "Show pics of your bows" thread. Everyone seems to like them, On the other hand I absolutely love them. I enjoy it more and more everytime I shoot. You did a great job Rad! Could never thank ya enough
And Yes, I was missing my bow alittle lol. Id like to say I wasnt but I would be a complete lier, nothing like doing alittle shooting everyday until my arms get to tired to hold the strings back.
You should tag out quick this fall on another bear so u can come along with me for mine and teach me a thing or two, yup yup

Was my first time actually. I liked it. as long as I'm in there alone I don't think Ill have a problem with drawing the bow back.

hows the shoot through mesh treatin you?
i have to either stand on my knees or sit on a bucket in my blind.the bucket i can shoot pretty well from but not standing on my knees.if i had windows low enough id be better off sittin on my knees.that proves to be a solid position for me.
But i swear the shoot through mesh opens my groups.i will most likely spend most of my season spot n stalkin.the blind stresses me out

I wont be using that mesh anymore, Ill try to keep my window open and just limit my movement alittle more. It kinda freaks me out.
I like being on my knees, I get less target wabble then I do standing on my feet, Its almost steady as a rock. I imagine sitting on a bucket would place me to high and make it hard to see and shoot. I kinda just get down on my knees, and let my butt rest on the back of my feet, Gets uncomfortable after awhile but Its the most stable I've shot yet.

Not been able to be on the site much lately. 

Looks like you are in the kill zone.  I too am looking to purchase my first ground blind very soon.

I have hunted out of blinds but not for archery.   

My dad was about as color blind as a dog.  He taught me that form and shape are more important than color to most animals.  Figure out how you are gonna brush it up and practice with that on it too.  It does change things a bit.  Also, I have begun shooting at my target with a brown paper grocery bag paper on it.  Approx color of deer.  I been huntin a while and I ain't never seen a deer with black rings or orange dots on them.  Shooting without an exact focus point will help you learn to pick your own spot and will be of benefit when you are shooting at the real thing.

FYI, I think the bullseye goes on the front part of the deer....   

If a deer was ten or fifteen yards away, I might shoot through the mesh but, to me, there is just too much potential for the arrow to grab the mesh differently depending on entry angle and tightness of the mesh.  One thing with the blind is to make sure that you are not silhouetted with an open window behind you.  Also be sure to wear gloves and a face mask.  Another thing is try shooting at really close targets. From a distance your arrow will be nicely elevated over the bottom of the window, but up close, your arrow will be much lower so make sure it will clear the edge of the window.

Also, bring a comfortable folding chair or stool, I use a little three legged one, and then  move it out of the way when you want to shoot off your knees.  Even young knees will get stiff if you  sit on them too long.
