Had a couple $$ burning a hole on my pocket, and I've been wanting to get a right hand hunting rifle for a loaner. Found this TIKKA T-3 in 260 that fills the requirements to a T.
With shooting light fading fast, I dug out the only 1" scope I had that wasn't mounted. A cheap 3-12 went on board, then found brass, bullets, and dies. Loaded 40 grains of MR2000 under 123 A-Max's with WLR primers. Loaded as long as the mag would allow and headed to the range.
First shot into the dirt, then these 3 at 100 for a nice 3/4" C-C group. With proper optics, adjusted trigger, and a little load work, I'm confident I'll get it to hover around 1/2" easy.
Fit and finish on the rifle is very good. Trigger pull is too heavy, but adjustable. The rifle shows accuracy potential for sure. Recoil was very manageable and rounds fed very smooth from the magazine. I'll adjust the trigger right away, then find 30mm rings so I can mount my Night Force 2.5-10.
Next will be to work up a load using 130 hunting VLD's.
Overall very happy with the rifle.
