Super frames, with no points,
170-180 frames, but weak fronts or backs
Points that are mismatched and net nothing
Super Mass
Old bald faced mossyhorn
Trash.............

Lets see some.

That buck won't gross 180 though

Thats a shooter any day of the season, hell he probably has more bone than all my bucks put together.  But hey i am a closet dink shooter. :yike:
Agreed, nobody said it wasn't. ;)

What a nit picker
:chuckle: Just keeping it on topic.

Maybe he only normally shoots 200"er's.

I do agree with phool though, there's a whole other thread devoted to 180" bucks which is where I'd be posting that one, although it might not be the biggest one in that thread.
 :dunno:

either way, probably not worth worrying much about.
Coulda sworn that thread was for true 180 inch bucks. So in my opinion this is the perfect thread to post a buck that loses 21 inches in deductions.
That is a true 180" buck. Nets are for fish.

8 pages in and as a bow hunter there is not one of these that I would pass on if I had it in my sights.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Why even mention score if you don't go by the one that really counts. That buck has a real weak side a short back and an extra on the other side. Old, heavy, miss matched points, short point and a low net. If that doesn't meet your criteria I will remove it. But I know there are several other bucks on here that are right at the 180 gross mark. Nets are for fish and gross scores are for bucks that don't have a good net score....... Right?

:yeah: i dont understand how you can make up your own scoring criteria. I agree that net scores shouldnt count, that being said if it wasnt for record books, scoring wouldnt exist. So might as well follow the criteria. B&C as well as P&Y dont think nets are for fish :twocents:

ok.

This isn't my thread and I couldn't care less who posts what in it. I personally believe in giving the buck credit for what he grew. I also couldn't care less about records books.
Maybe I should have posted that instead of "nets are for fish".
Trailtamer, if I ever kill a buck as big as yours, I'd crap myself. You should be proud of that buck. Sounds like you're discrediting it, pointing out all of his flaws.

Carry on.

For your info I did have to change my underwear and I am very proud of that buck. I read the first post on this thread and thought he'd be a prime example.  But I guess not.
