If it makes you feel better Skookum, I wasn't either.   I stumbled onto that side pic and thought I'd throw it in.   He was a massive beast.  Never did find his sheds.

I did look at all of the pics and have been watching this thread all along and didn't catch that the side view buck was the same buck that was posted front view two weeks ago.  Good catch link, way to keep everyone on their toes.  I am going to keep my eye on Bone that sneaky son of a gun posting different pictures of the same deer weeks apart just to keep his thread going.  :chuckle:

Love the photos, it is a great thread.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

These deer are so great... the more I see, the less I like scoring, and I hated it to begin with...

I was really into it for awhile, now I could really give a rats butt.  I still get offended (no idea why, pet peeve maybe) when people stretch the tape.  I think I just like to keep it real.  I think the critters in this thread show that you can have an awesome buck and score doesn't mean diddely, so why "fish tape" it

I agree. I have never shot anything that I would think would score well at all, just because of size.

I think that even if I shot a monster, I probably wouldn't have it scored. Its not about the score, its about the animal. I think when you reduce it to a number, and are happy or not based on that number, you've just lost the meaning of the hunt and respect for that animals life. :twocents:

Good thread. There is a couple of meaty bucks in this thread that don't get the recognition of being good bucks just because of horn configuration. Their still good ole smart bucks. Even more so than some of the Grinch that stole Xmas dog with the antlers tied on and the antlers teetered the pooch type of bucks that have almost perfect symmetry. That first one was an arnold.
