I think this is a prime example of a great 'good ole boy', but that won't score well at all. I'd love to see him from the front. (Or broadside for a shot!) But the symmetry is all off. Great mass but no width or fork lengths.

I know this thread compares bucks that are less than the coveted 180 range, but a 160 buck is above average in Washington, and most people will be quite proud of a 145. -And a 145 can certainly be a great buck, that doesn't score 'diddley'. 
 
IMHO. If you've got a buck that's above 160, It probably shouldn't be in this thread.   We've all seen wide bucks that are spindly. We've all seen tall bucks that aren't wide or have no real mass to them. Once in a while we see some freak that just doesn't look right.

IMHO. If you've got a buck that's above 160, It probably shouldn't be in this thread.   
But then total score is a matter of opinion, and to some, 160 may fit perfectly within the theme of this thread. :twocents:

THis year's buck.  Old, heavy, thick and gnarly.  Huge body.  No spread (like 19 inches outside), 3 point on one side.  Man, he mast have been something in his prime...
